Mr. Thomson retired from the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (COA) in 2020 after 20 years as chief executive officer. From 2001 to 2007, Mr. Thomson was also the CEO of the COF. Prior to his time at the COA/COF, Mr. Thomson spent 20 years in the orthopaedic device industry in both Canada and the US where he was President of Zimmer Canada and later served as General Manager at DePuy Canada.
